This is an interesting looking machine. I want one.

You should be able to get a Ruckus pretty cheap.

Is that what that is?

Don't know about around you, but in Portland ruckus enthusiasts keep prices in the $1500-$2000 range. To me, that's high for a scooter.

They are still pretty new, very popular and they are Hondas, so they will keep a decently high price. Hondas tend to hold their values, even the little Metropolitans. If you want to see some expensive scooters check out Vespas.

Honda Ruckus
We had a discussion on them the other day here.

Yeah, they are very popular with people that like to mod bikes. The stock model s pretty much just a frame with an engine on it, so mods are pretty straightforward.

It's better than a $600 Chinese Rip-off, though.

Dont even get me started on Vespas, I have a standing IFTTT recipie that emails me every time a vintage vespa pops up on craigslist for under $1k.
I NEED one of those grip shift manual transmissions in my life!

You could get a lawnmower for that. Let's face it the ruckus is basically a miniaturized tractor.

this wheel and that muffler need to go.

If the muffler were matte black it would look alright. The wheel is goofy though

I probably shouldn't show this to you then....it's way more than $1k though.

Two wheels good because a ruckus is an amazing toy for scooting around town

Sexy? Yes, but I'm way more a fan of their vintage wares. Give me one of these anyday.
Plus, unless I'm mistaken, the 946 has a CVT, and I've already got a scoot with one of those.

You need to see one in person, the pics don't o them justice. Anyway, if you like that, you may want to look into the Genuine Stella. Great bikes and more affordable than a real vintage. Also, yes, they re manual.

And 2-stroke?!? Be still my beating heart

If you are not in California I think you can still get the 2-stroke new. Out here they only allow the new 4 stroke, but the loophole is that you can bring in a used one.

Nope no PRCalifornia for me, thanks to you I've now set up an additional ifttt recipie to notify me of cheap Stellas.

Yeah I've never liked wheels with black rims, and polished, or chrome spokes that "overlap" onto the rim. Always makes me think Brotruck

Expect to find them for around $2500 used. A cheaper alternative which is a little cheaper is the Bajaj Chetak. Indian made Vespa clone, they sold here for a while too. I heard they are little close to vintage in the maintenance schedule, but over all, pretty good. I see them used here in the PRC every now and then, too.
